I’m a bit of a journal hoarder from way back. There’s just something about a brand new journal that’s full of possibilities. Do you have a favorite texture? I do: a page that’s been written on. Running my fingers over the indentations, the permanent marks of my stories, my secrets is blissful. Stationary in general is kind of a turn on. The pen aisle at a Staples or Office Depot? Heaven. I’m not saying I’m a sure thing if after dinner you take me to an office supply store instead of a movie, but I’m not not saying it either. In fact, one of my favorite moments with Casey took place in a stationary store while I was caressing holding a journal. Putting pen to prettily bound paper will forever be one of my favorite activities.
Enter Minted, who upped the ante on my love of bound paper. They’ve got a little bit of everything from wedding invitations, and Father’s Day cards, to business cards. But what’s currently making my heart beat a little faster are their custom journals. Dude, you guys. I DIE. If I want a journal with my cat’s face on it? They can do that. Making good on my threat to immortalize all my godson’s funny sayings into a book that will follow him around until he’s 80? Done. The possibilities, they are endless.
So, here comes the fun part: I’m giving away $50 to Minted. I KNOW, RIGHT? All you have to do is leave a comment telling me what you’d buy from Minted. Are you a journal hoarder like me? Are you a lined paper, graph paper, or blank paper person? Or are you more of a card person? Maybe you need new business cards or need party decorations (you guys, they totally have that too). Whatever it is, I’m dying to know. No, seriously. I want to know. You have until next Sunday, June 9th to enter.
Super fun disclaimer: I was gifted with a Minted credit, but was not compensated in any other way. All opinions and inappropriate feelings towards bound paper are my own.
JOURNAL WITH MY CAT’S FACE ON IT? That’s all I ever need in life! Personally, I like lines in a journal because otherwise, I end up writing on a slant. Also, I’d love to get my hands on some of their greeting cards and thank you notes. They look really cute, and I am SO tired of buying things on the go at CVS. It’d be nice to have a stock supply.
Hi Shireen! I wanted to enter the contest, but wanted to make sure it was open to Canadians first – but the Terms and Conditions won’t load! Just thought I’d check with you before I enter. Thanks! 🙂
Melissa,
Good question! Let me check into that for you. 🙂
Melissa,
Minted ships internationally, so yes! It is open to Canadians. Wee!
Wahoo! Thanks so much. I mean a journal with my cat’s face on it? I NEED that! 😀
Oh no! Now it’s saying that the contest is no longer going? Gotta love the Internet!
The contest is definitely still going! I had to take down the raffelcopter because it doesn’t play well with wordpress. But don’t worry, all you have to do is leave a comment and you’re entered! Sorry for the confusion.
I love journals. I’d get journals!!!
Luv paper, (journals –Moleskin) and pens…(especially fountain ones) and could spend hours in Office Depot. I’ll def go loco for a custom journal or anything from Minted:)
I love pretty journals, my true love is scrapbook paper. If the journal has colored paper, like scrapbook paper? EVEN BETTER.
I got my wedding invitations from Minted and was hooked! Since that time I’ve ordered any other paper goods I need from them. I love the hand seal that comes with each, the thickness of the paper and ability to tweak small design elements on whatever I order. It’s such an awesome site, I’d love the gift card to try out the journals, next!
I love cards more than paper.. I’m usually a line/ blank paper person.. I can spend hours writing cards for friends/family members.. Would love to try out the journals if they have any guided questions (like to keep daily records, etc), that will be great. 😉
I’d definitely get a journal. Love journals.
My oh my, I am in LOVE with Minted! They have gorgeous covers if you don’t have a photo you want to upload like you mentioned above. I have tons of notebooks, one for about every aspect in my life. Work is separate from blog stuff, another one for weekly meal planning, and a secret one where I write everything I wish I could blog openly about. I would definitely get one of their lined journals, and maybe some address labels because everyone needs those… 😉
Journals are my lovers. And a good pen? Don’t even get me started. I never enter giveaways but I have to for this. Because I would fill bookshelves with journals if I had money.
I love the great big sea journal! And if I was cool enough to require calling cards, I would so get calling cards.
Sock Monkey banner and a journal for my daughter with lined sheets.
I would totally get a journal or maybe some a drawing pad. I used to write in a journal all the time, I loved it. And I miss it. That’s so cool you can customize. And yeah, if somebody took me to the pen aisle at Staples….I would DEFINITELY be a sure thing.
I like cards. I stockpile them at work and at home and relish sending out “ye olde-fashioned” mail via the Postal Service. In this day and age, having physical mail, written in what ever scrawl passes as writing these days, is a lovely, tangible representation of ME in my friends and families’ mail boxes. It’s a record, however fleeting or long-term, that I was here and I had a relationship worth carving out time to document on paper.
Business cards. The Hank and little Addie cards need a rest.
Was the stationary store in Chelsea Market? I hope so, because that’s the only stationary outing *I* remember.
Nope, not that one. Although that store was magic. This was in Broad Ripple.
I really like notebooks. I could have 1000 of them and still want more. 🙂 I would choose a couple of them, if I won the credit.
I’d love to put this towards my wedding invitations! They have some amazing designs.
I would order a million and one prints from the Children’s section. Or a journal. Or cards. Or…. I love their stuff!
I would use it for a journal!!! I used to write in a journal all the time. I have gotten away from it over the last few years. I have been thinking I need to get back into it lately. Journaling is a great way to get my thoughts out and regain perspective.
I would buy note cards!
oh fun! I looked at their site and it would be hard to decide. Note cards make a great teacher gift, so I might go for that.
So lovely! Lately my thoughts are all over the place, literally. I’m leaving odds-and-ends pieces of paper with my thoughts lying around. No good! A beautiful new journal to gather them safely is exactly what I need. Lined of course! 😉
Seeing this completely reminded me I have a GC from Minted.com I need to use!
I love journals, cards, stationary, you name it, I love it! So much that I’m drowning in it! But that won’t stop me from loving more!
I need business cards (for a paticular girls trip, no *business trip” I have planned for next month…)
I’d love a new journal..but then I saw the custom art prints and would LOVE to get something like that done for around my farm! Fun!! Really cool website…have been hearing more and more about them online lately…definitely have to check them out more! 🙂
I REALLY love Minted. I got the personalized nursery art for both of my boys from there. I would totally get myself something this time. Either a journal or some pretty artwork for our bedroom.
I would absolutely buy “New Home” cards to send to everyone. I didn’t send Christmas cards last year because I was hoping we’d have our new house cards to send out not too long after… then we moved again! We are supposed to close on this new house in a couple days, so, so very timely if I win, yes? 🙂
Steph
So many awesome choices! I’d probably choose a lovely notebook or notecards. I tend to use notecards as bookmarks, so I’d love some pretty ones!
Ohhh! I would definitely get a journal. They are all so beautiful!
ohhhh….pretty paper. here’s the thing though, I like to look at the pretty paper, but I have a hard time writing on it, because then it’s used up. I once got a beautiful note from a friend, and she told me it was from her “special stash”, which made the sentiment behind the note that much more. So maybe I’d go for note cards and save them for special occasions.
I love their prints. I could decorate my entire house in minted stuff. And I just might.
I love all the things from Minted. I would probably get a calendar or a journal or some birthday invitations for me girl. Gosh, I don’t know. So much good stuff!
