There is something to be said for silence. For knowing someone so long, so well, that words become unnecessary. It’s not that words would complicate or muddle the true intention of what you’re trying to say. They’re just not necessary.

There’s something to knowing that all you need at this moment, at this terrible, horrible moment while your world crumbles down around you, is to stand here, your feet in the ruins of something once good, and know that if you fall, when you fall, they will catch you. To know that eventually? Eventually things will be okay. You may not be there yet, but you’ll get there.
